What is Absinthe ?

The Absinthe tool, which was originally released back in January for Jailbreaking iPad 2 and iPhone 4S holding the iOS 5.x has now received an important update from Chronic Dev Team. Absinthe is a very simple to use GUI tool which can be used by users with no basic knowledge of the tool. You do not need to be an advanced user to get your hands on the tool. Absinthe injects necessary files into the device so that it can get the benefit of untethered jailbreak
If you are still enjoying the perks of iOS 5.1.1 you can follow the detailed step by step instructions below:

  1. Also, this is a tethered jailbreak. This means you will have to plug your device into your computer anytime you reboot in order to maintain your jailbreak functionality and run RedSn0w. This pertains to some of the newer iOS devices such as the iPhone 3GS (new bootrom) the iPad, the iPod Touch 2G (MC Model), iPod Touch 3G and the iPod Touch 4G as well as the iPad jailbreak my iphone 3gs
